Bone Broth for Immune Support

Do you know the value of bone broths? The natural ingredients feed, repair, and calm the mucous lining in the small intestine; this lining is the beginning/ending of the nervous system! The lining gets pulled away from the intestine through laxative use, food additives, parasites, and other things. HOMEMADE bone broths heal nerves, improve digestion, reduce allergies, relax, and give strength.

I make and freeze bone broth year-round for the times when my family will inevitably get sick. This nutrient-dense, electrolyte-containing broth (coupled with my essential oils, homeopathy, and other natural remedies) keeps me prepared.

Why not boxed or canned broth? Hydrolyzed vegetable proteins, corn syrup solids, sugar, MSG, dextrose, coloring, flavorings, disodium guanylate & disodium inosinate, partially hydrogenated vegetable oils, and artificial colors are why!!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 organic free-range chicken
  • 2 tbs raw AC vinegar
  • 1 organic onion
  • 2 organic carrots
  • 3 organic celery stalks

DIRECTIONS:

  • Place all ingredients in your crock pot.
  • Cover with as much water as it will safely hold and set it to low for 24 hours. Add 1 bunch of parsely during the last 10 min, which will impart additional vital minerals.
  • Remove the chicken (I use the meat for enchiladas) and strain through a fine mesh colander, into a very large bowl.
  • Refrigerate overnight, until the fat congeals at the top. Skim it off and freeze your stock in ice cube trays. Once frozen, remove to gallon-sized freezer bags and take out and use as needed.
  • Add Celtic sea salt to taste when reheating. (NEVER MICROWAVE – this will deplete the broth of it’s nutrients, defeating the purpose)
